SWAN LAKE – A four-alarm blaze leveled a large barn on the Michel Dairy Farm in the Kauneonga Lake Fire District early Sunday evening.
Two silos were the only structures left standing as the barn was burned down to the ground.
The fire of undetermined origin apparently started as the cattle were being milked. There were said to be some 100 animals inside the barn.
Several fire departments were called to the scene of the structure fire.
Many animals died and others were injured.

Several veterinarians were on the scene examining those hurt animals.
