Two shot in Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE – Two Poughkeepsie men were shot near the Club Mystic at 189 Church Street early Saturday morning.
At about 3:15, City Police were called to a report of a fight near 33 Academy Street with no weapons involved, but three minutes later there were reports of shots fired.
A 29-year-old city man was found with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to the hospital and is expected to live, police said. He was unable to speak with detectives about what happened because of his injury.
A short time later, a second victim, a 24-year-old Poughkeepsie man, arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound through his arm and a graze to his side. He is expected to survive. The victim told police he was watching a fight when he was struck and that he did not know who shot him.
Several area police agencies were needed to assist with fights and large unruly crowds in the area.
