The “main event” is carved to perfection by FOP President
JoAnne Viola
as Chef Domenico Dimedea, Past Exalted Ruler of the Brewster Elks,

gives his seal of approval.

BREWSTER – The weatherman cooperated with pleasant summer conditions
when the Putnam County Stephen Driscoll Chapter of the Fraternal Order
of Police hosted its annual pig toast and clam bake at the Brewster Elks
Club.

A crowd estimated at more than 200 was on hand for the fundraising event
Saturday that assisted the local FOP lodge named in memory of September
11 hero NYPD Emergency Services Unit member Stephen Driscoll fund scholarships
and other charitable causes countywide.

Driscoll, a resident of Lake Carmel, perished along with seven other Putnam
residents on that fateful morning at Ground Zero almost 17 years ago.

The day-long event consisted of a golf tourney, family swimming, fellowship
and outstanding food with two 50 pound hogs serving as the center of attention.
