WASHINGTON – The FAA has granted Hudson Valley Regional Airport in Wappinger – formerly known as Dutchess County Airport – almost $7.4 million to replace an older, non-compliant building with a new facility.
The structure will include Airport Rescue Firefighting equipment, snow removal equipment and airport offices in one location.
Senator Charles Schumer said the funding will pay for “critical infrastructure upgrades” at the airport.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said the money will give the airport “new resources to be better prepared for emergencies and increase safety for travelers flying to and from the Hudson Valley.”
