MIDDLETOWN – The Middletown Police Department is joining forces with the newly established Mid-Hudson Crime Intelligence Center.
The multi-county operation is in the Orange County Emergency Services Center in Goshen.
Middletown Police Chief John Ewanciw said tying into the regional program will provide benefit to the city.
“It is a regional intel center that is going to, not only help and support the City of Middletown Police, but all the police departments within the Hudson Valley with sharing information, gathering information, gathering intelligence to help us better fight crime,” Ewanciw said. “The memorandum of understanding allows us to share information our department and them under strict parameters, and it also allows me to be appointed to the board to have some oversight in the program as well.”
The intel center already has several successes to its credit.
