Tornado strikes reported in Sullivan County

LIVINGSTON MANOR – Livingston
Manor was hammered with strong winds and hail as the storm rolled through
the region late this afternoon.

On Cattail Road a suspected tornado struck a family’s property,
blowing out windows in their house, garage and car that was in the driveway.
Livingston Manor schools were placed on lockdown as the storm rolled
through.

There are reports of people trapped in houses and in vehicles in Narrowsburg
as a suspected touched down.

In many areas of Sullivan County trees and wires are also reported down.
Heavy rains and strong winds rolled into the Middletown area an hour
later downing tees and wires.

Tornado warnings have also been issued for Columbia, Greene and Ulster
counties.
