CARMEL – The weatherman failed to cooperate yet despite chilly
and damp conditions hundreds of children of all ages were on hand at Putnam
Hospital Center Saturday for the medical facility’s annual Kids Day celebration.

The event featured a variety of interactive health and safety exhibits
and demonstrations that were interspersed with crafts, games and children’s-themed
vendors.

A teddy bear clinic took place along with finger casting, a child ID program,
car seat safety checks and visits from the Carmel Fire Department and
Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Hospital President Peter Kelly welcomed many of the guests to the event
and thanked the community for supporting the hospital reminding them that
the medical center’s new addition and expanded emergency department
will be open this fall.
