State continues investigation of ‘incident’ at Otisville prison

ALBANY – The State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is continuing to investigate an incident involving inmates at Otisville Correctional Facility.
The incident, on May 2, involved several incarcerated men resulting in two being transported to a local hospital where they were treated and released. A source told Mid-Hudson News they suffered slash wounds that required several stitches.
There were no staff injuries, according to a prison spokesman.
Otisville Correctional is a minimum security prison with inmates incarcerated in dormitory-style housing.
