WASHINGTON – The federal Health and Human Services agency has appropriated $2.2 million for the Early Learning and Head Start programs that provide education and development services for low-income children in Head Start of Eastern Orange County.
Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide comprehensive child development programs for children from birth to age five, pregnant women, and families. The programs focus on preparing children for school.
“Kids in the Hudson Valley need a strong academic foundation and making responsible investments in education is the best way to ensure they get it,” said Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, who announced the grant.
