POUGHKEEPSIE – The Poughkeepsie
city charter adopted by voter referendum in November 2016 requires a Salary
Review Commission every four years to make recommendations to the mayor
and common council regarding salaries of elected officials.

As a result, the common council is seeking members to serve on that commission.
Interested persons should send resumes to Deanne Flynn, City Chamberlain
at City Hall, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie 12601 or email them
to dflynn@cityofpoughkeepsie.com,
or fax them to 845-451-4239. Friday, May 4 is the deadline to submit resumes
for consideration.

The commission consists of seven members, three appointed by the mayor,
three appointed by the common council and one elected by members of the
commission at their first meeting convened by the mayor in June.

The commission will issue recommendations by January 1, 2019 with any
new salary levels established by a majority vote of the common council.
