Corines
WHITE PLAINS – A former physician from Eastchester is charged with felony grand larceny for allegedly stealing over $500,000 from a 97-year-old Yonkers woman through a number of fraudulent means.
The felony complaint alleges that during a two-week period in November 2017, Peter Corines, 69, stole from Bernice Judd Porter by falsely claiming to be her power of attorney or pretending to be her on the phone or online with several financial institutions where the victim had accounts. In total, he stole some $540,103.
Corines was arrested by Yonkers Police on April 24 following execution of a search warrant at his home. He is in the Westchester County Jail pending future court action.
