Day and Seeman

NEW CITY – Laurie Seeman joins a long list of others to be named this year’s Rockland County Executive’s Outstanding Environmental Volunteer.
County Executive Edwin Day presented the award to Seeman on Tuesday at Kennedy Dell County Park in New City.
“She has been able to bridge divides, she has been able to dial down rhetoric; she has been able to insert herself in such a way that we found solutions,” Day said. “It reminds us that we are better off as people when we hear somebody say something about what is going on, that we don’t listen to respond, we listen to learn and that is a gift that not many have and Laurie, without a doubt, has that gift and then some.”
Seeman was honored for her many years of involvement with county watershed issues.
