Interim Poughkeepsie economic development director named

POUGHKEEPSIE – Mayor Robert Rolison named Paul Calogerakis as the City of Poughkeepsie’s interim economic development director.
A city resident, Calogerakis has more than 30 years of commercial banking experience and has served on several boards of directors of civic and non-profit organizations, including chairing the former Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation, Poughkeepsie Areas Chamber of Commerce, Council of Industry, Poughkeepsie Rotary Club and is a founding member and past chairman of the Poughkeepsie Alliance.
He is also a former common council member and a member of the city planning
board. Most recently he was chairman of the Poughkeepsie Industrial Development
Agency.
“With so many projects and initiatives happening right now, Paul’s demonstrated ability to build relationships and get projects done couldn’t come at a better time,” said Rolison. “He will be a fantastic addition to the team.”
