DURHAM – Fire in a house
on Route 145 in the Town of Durham claimed the lives of five people Monday
morning, State Police said.
One other person was transported to a hospital and was listed in critical
condition.
Identities of the victims cannot be confirmed at this time and the causes
of death are pending autopsies.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the Greene County Sheriff’s
Office, Durham Police, State Fire, East Durham, Oak Hill, freehold and
Cairo fire departments, Durham Ambulance and Greene County Paramedics.
