Queens man arrested after fleeing from police, crashing

ORANGETOWN – A Queens man was arrested after he led police on a chase from the Thruway in the Town of Greenburgh until he crashed into a rock hall on South Boulevard in the Town of Orangetown.
Jonathan Bermudez, 31, refused to submit to a breath or blood rest to determine the alcohol or drug content in his system. He has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years.
State Police charged him with unlawful fleeing a police officer, two counts of reckless endangerment, felony DWI and several vehicle and traffic violations.  He was issued appearance and traffic tickets returnable to Orangetown Town Court.
