NEW PALTZ – Former two-term New Paltz School Board member Steven Greenfield announced he will run for the 19th Congressional District on the Green Party line.
Republican John Faso will be running for a second two-year term this fall.
Greenfield, who has several years of community service and participation in New Paltz, described his approach to governing as solving the problem, but without lobbyists. “No corporate lobbyists will ever step foot in my office,” he said. “They are the problem, and the easiest one to solve.”
There are a handful of Democrats seeking their party’s nomination for the House seat.
