Yonkers man faces 91 charges for violating orders of protection

WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was arraigned on 91 counts stemming from violating orders of protection against him related to his child’s mother and her family.
Talib Waters, 30, was charged with one count of bribing a witness, 48 counts of criminal contempt and 42 counts of aggravated family offense.  If convicted, he could face a maximum of 2 1/3 to seven years in prison.
On November 7, 2017, Waters allegedly violated a full order of protection in favor of his child’s mother by entering her residence in Yonkers. He again returned to her home and encountered her on November 8 and 9, in violation of the same order of protection. He was later arrested on November 9.
On December 25, 2017, Water again violated an order of protection against both his child’s mother and his child’s grandmother. Again, on December 27, he violated the order of protection against the child’s mother. He was re-arrested on December 27, 2017.
In addition, between October 1, 2017 and January 31, 2018, Waters sent the victim dozens of letters, in violation of the order of protection in place. In one letter, he offered her money to drop the charges against him.
