WINDSOR – A 33-year-old New Windsor woman has been charged with
entering a neighbor’s apartment and stealing a water jug full of
coins. The victim reported the larceny to New Windsor Police, which investigated
the theft from a residence in the same building at the Mason Ridge Apartment
complex.
Mai Toi Hood was identified on video entering her neighbor’s apartment
through an unlocked door and stealing the jug. When interviewed by detectives,
she admitted to the crime.
The jug with some of the leftover money was recovered from Hood’s
apartment.
She was charged with burglary and petit larceny and was committed to the
Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
