NEW WINDSOR – The Shamrock Creek company in New Windsor is losing its payment-in-lieu-of taxes agreement it had with the Orange County Industrial Development Agency.
IDA Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso said the IDA board sent a letter to the company revoking the remainder of the PILOT agreement.
“They have had a PILOT for a number of years and unfortunately they have been delinquent in their PILOT payments to each jurisdiction for each of the years that they have had their PILOT,” she said. So, the board terminated the remainder of the PILOT because of their ongoing delinquent payment and default.
Villasuso said the company was two years past due with the money it owned the Cornwall Central School District alone.
