MONTICELLO – A Blizzard
Warning is in effect until 1 a.m. Saturday in Sullivan and Delaware counties.

The National Weather Service said winds gusting as high as 50 miles per
hour will cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow.

Significant drifting of snow is likely with additional accumulations of
10 to 14 inches expected, especially at higher elevations.

Travel will be very dangerous to impossible. Tree damage and scattered
power outages are expected especially at higher elevations from weight
of snow and gusty winds.

Because of motor vehicle accidents, downed trees and utility wires caused
by high winds, several roads in Sullivan County have been shut down.
