PINE BUSH – Police are investigating the possible skimming of ATMs at branches of the Walden Savings Bank.
Crawford Town Police reported receiving complaints of illegal access
to accounts at the bank, which they are currently investigating with the
bank and other law enforcement agencies.
Bank branches involved are in Pine Bush and Walden.
A statement from the bank said, “Customers are not liable for any losses that may occur due to illegal activity.”
Police encourage all residents to check their accounts and alert the bank and their local police if there are any discrepancies in their accounts.
Customers should also be alert to anything that appears unusual with the card portal on an ATM.  A common tactic involves placing a device that can record data, including account numbers from cards.
