NEW PALTZ – Two people were arrested on 15 counts of making graffiti in New Paltz.
Police on foot patrol on lower Main Street were alerted by a business owner that the outside of his business had just been spray painted. That was at 11:30 p.m. on February 10.
Video surveillance from a few businesses helped develop two suspects and additional leads.
Then on February 20, police received a call of two people possibly spray painting a wall near Wurtz Avenue.
Officers responded and located Thomas Rusinko, 18, of Brooklyn and Kathryn Anderson, 18, of Massapequa. Both were interviewed and later charged with the misdemeanors. They were released on an appearance ticket pending a future court appearance.
