HUDSON – The Columbia
County Sheriff’s Office has completed an investigation into a video
that contained the Ichabod Crane School logo and “disturbing images”
in it and appeared on a special media site last week.
On February 15, the school logo was included in a posting that contained
what investigators said were “disturbing images.” There was
no threat made nor was the video sent to the school district.
Police determined the video was pre-existing and had been altered to include
the images and logo.
Investigators contacted the Google Corporation, which provided an IP address
where the video had been uploaded.
Interviews were conducted and it was determined who altered and uploaded
the video and it was determined there is no threat to the school district
and no crime was committed.
