TOWN OF WARWICK – A 41-year-old Village of Warwick man was arrested
early Saturday morning after police executed a no-knock search warrant
at his residence at 9 Smith Street.
The arrest of Martin Portugal followed an investigation over the course
of several months conducted by the Town of Warwick Police Department and
State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Seized in the raid were some five grams of cocaine.
Portugal was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled
substance and two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, all
as felonies.
