Orange County receives financial reporting award

GOSHEN – Orange County was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finances Officers Association.
County Executive Steven Neuhaus credited the County Finance Department and Commissioner Karin Hablow with achieving the honor. “I commend their efforts. This award is indicative of the high standards this department follows as the trustee of county finances,” he said.
The association is a non-partisan, non-profit organization service 16,000 government finance offices across the nation. The award recognizes governments that maintain high standards of excellence in financial reporting and demonstrate a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate the financial picture of government operations.
