WHITE PLAINS – A Westchester County grand jury indicted a Yonkers man on three charges related to the killing of a Yonkers teenager.
The charges against Joel Thompson, 22, include one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder in the death of Madysen Denman, 16, of Yonkers.
On Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at about 9:40 in the morning, Yonkers Police found that a vehicle intentionally drove onto a sidewalk striking a pedestrian and fleeing the scene. They found Denman’s lifeless body on the ground.
Thompson was apprehended a short time later.
District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. said if convicted, Thompson faces 15 years to life in state prison on the murder charge and five to 25 years in prison for each of the two attempted murder charges.
