Livingston man arrested for menacing and endangering welfare of children

LIVINGSTON – A Livingston man was arrested on Thursday for two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and menacing.
State Police responded to a domestic dispute on Deer Haven Road in the Town of Livingston at 6:15 p.m. An investigation determined that Richard Staats, 51, allegedly menaced and endangered the welfare of two children, ages 13 and 16, during the argument. He was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bond pending a future court appearance.
