YONKERS – A Yonkers man has been arrested and charged with trying
to kill the same 29-year-old man on two different occasions this month.

James McNair, 23, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder
and was remanded to the Westchester County jail without bail. Police said
the two men knew each other and a dispute escalated to violence.

City Police said that on Sunday afternoon, January 14, McNair allegedly
aimed a loaded gun at the victim and fired it three times directly at
him at close range. The victim was not injured during that incident.

One week later, on Saturday, January 20, McNair allegedly aimed a loaded
gun at the same man and fired once directly at him at close range striking
him and causing serious injury to his back and leg.

McNair was arrested on Tuesday, January 23 following an intensive investigation.
