HUGUENOT – A four-alarm fire raged through Minisink Lanes bowling alley on Route 209 in Huguenot Saturday afternoon.
Some 150 firefighters from several area departments fought the blaze with Huguenot Chief Thomas Kalin saying they had some difficulty in fighting the blaze.
“We had some trouble with the water supply due to the lakes being frozen over,” he said. “It took a little bit longer to establish a water supply from those locations.”
The building, about a mile north of Port Jervis, was vacant at the time and there were no injuries battling the blaze, Kalin said.
The cause is under investigation.
