KIAMESHA LAKE – The state Labor Department is partnering with Resorts World Catskills to help fill between 500 and 700 jobs at the entertainment venue, which is slated to open in about a month.
Job fairs will be held in the Town of Wallkill on January 17 and January 24, both Wednesdays, from 12 noon to 7 p.m. The job fair on the 17th will be at the Holiday Inn, 68 Crystal Run Road while the fair on the 24th will be held at the Courtyard by Marriot at 24 Crystal Run Crossing.
On-site interviews will be held to fill the following positions:
Housekeeping room attendant
Cleaning, housekeeping, etc.
Cooks
Servers
Cocktail servers
Bartenders
Stewards
Cage cashiers
Security
When open in mid-February, Resorts World Catskills will include a more than 100,000 square foot casino gaming area with 2,150 slot machines, over 150 live table games and a poker room. Also on site are a 10,000 square foot spa and an all-suite hotel.
