Dipnarine-Saroop
POUGHKEEPSIE – An authority in interfaith communication and cooperation with non-profit, government and international organizations across North and South America, Asia and Europe, has been named the new executive director of the Dutchess County Interfaith Council.
Karen Dipnarine-Saroop, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, said the dissention in Washington will, in part, drive her agenda here.
“I hope to develop a solid foundation where shared faith values on a common ground can be a launching pad for us to build trust, respect, openness and unity through our dialogues and interactions with each other,” Dipnarine-Saroop said.
Interfaith Council Board President the Reverend Walter LeFlore said Dipnarine-Saroop’s leadership will help expand the council’s role “as a unique community partner to bring a more visible religious, moral and ethical perspective to issues affecting our county.”
