Three arrested in Wallkill for illegal gun possession

MECHANICSTOWN – Three people were arrested on Sunday, December 17 by State Police for illegally possessing a loaded .357 revolver.
The men were stopped for vehicle and traffic violations in the Mechanicstown section of the Town of Wallkill.
Troopers noticed a strong odor of marijuana in the car when they spoke with the driver, Chayne Price, 19, of Middletown. A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana and the gun.
Price, and his two passengers, Keimoni Spinks, 19, and Timothy Brown, 25, both of Spring Valley, were placed under arrest. None of the occupants possessed a permit allowing possession of the firearm.  All three were charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon. Price was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic violations.
Brown is held without bail.  Price and Spinks are in the the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $75,000 bond.
