KINGSTON – A Phoenicia woman pled guilty in Ulster County Court on Monday to manslaughter for intentionally aiding her boyfriend to commit suicide on November 19, 2016.
The Ulster County Medical Examiner’s office ruled the death of John Owings, Jr., 65, was acute drug intoxication.
Solane Verraine, 63, allegedly fed Owings a combination of alcoholic beverages and prescription drugs at the residence they shared at 46 Route 214 in Phoenicia.
Verraine is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
