ROCK HILL – Resorts World Catskills’ Executive Vice President Charles Degliomini said Thursday they will be moving up the opening of the Resort/Casino to mid-February 2018.
One of the marketing targets for the facility will be the Asian gaming market and Degliomini said they will be excited to provide their Eastern patrons with a surprise for a very special time of year in their culture.
“We accelerated for the Lunar New Year,” said Degliomini. “We’re building a lot of amenities that cater to the Asian gaming market, is mid-February, and we didn’t want to miss that opportunity to surprise and delight our guests just by two weeks.”
Those amenities will include top-rated, authentic Asian cuisine, a feng shui area for good luck energy, lots of Paigao, Baccarat and private gaming lounges for VIP patrons.
Degliomini said they didn’t want to miss their chance to capitalize on their target market by keeping their original opening that was scheduled for March/April 2018.
Resorts World Catskills’ is planning to provide charter jet service
from Asia to Stewart International Airport to transport high stakes gamblers
to the Catskills. The casino facility will feature a luxury hotel for
guests.
Also on Thursday, Empire Resorts, owner of Resorts World Catskills, announced that Jamie Sanko has been appointed chief accounting officer o0f Empire and Kevin Kline has been named chief operating officer and general manager of Resorts World Catskills.
