GOSHEN – A Middletown man pled guilty in Orange County Court on
Thursday to possessing over eight ounces of crack cocaine.
Jmin Ward, 36, admitted that on April 20, he possessed the drugs at his residence at 41 Woodlake Drive in the City of Middletown. The cocaine was discovered when Middletown police officers, aided by the Orange County Sheriff’s Special Operations Group, executed a search warrant early in the morning.
Ward had been charged with two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia for possessing scales and packaging materials commonly used in the drug trade.
In a plea agreement, the DA’s office said it would recommend that Ward be sentenced to 12 years in state prison when he returns to court in January.
