TOWN OF WALLKILL – Source
says when Wallkill Police released surveillance video, he was recognized
and turned himself in. Wallkill Police Chief Robert Hertman did not confirm
the development, but said an update on the case will be provided this
afternoon.
It could not be immediately
learned if the man would be charged with any crime.

available.
Late Tuesday afteroon, police released portions of surveillance video
taken at the Galleria at Crystal Run in the Town of Wallkill that show
the male suspect, his female companion and two small children as they
entered the mall on Sunday afternoon, moments after the shooting, and
as they walked away from the second floor scene.
The man fired one round from a handgun into the floor with either bullet fragments or floor tile fragments ricocheting and striking a 49-year-old Goshen woman and her 12-year-old son in the legs. They sustained lacerations.
