Two charged with stealing snowblowers from Stony Point business

STONY POINT – Two Orange County men were arrested by Stony Point Police on Saturday on several charges.
Joseph Fleishcer, 47, of Walden and William McDonough, 37, currently homeless, were each charged with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, possession of burglar’s tools, grand larceny and drug possession.
Police said that around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, an alert resident reported men leaving the Rental Zone on Route 9W in Stony Point after loading two snowblowers in the back of a van.  Patrol officers stopped the vehicle a short time later on Route 9W near Bear Mountain. Officers found two snowblowers in the van and investigation uncovered other evidence and tools used in the crime. A glass crack pipe containing cocaine residue was also located in the van.
Bail was set at $45,000 for Fleishcer and $15,000 for McDonough. Both are in the Rockland County Jail.
