KINDERHOOK – A Claverack man was killed on Thursday, November 16 in a two-car collision on Route 9 in the Town of Kinderhook near Golden Harvest Farms.
State Police said Preston Schrader, 86, of Claverack apparently made a left turn onto Route 9 from a parking lot exit and struck a northbound vehicle. Schrader was transported to Albany Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
State Police at Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Troop K Collision Reconstruction investigated and were assisted on scene by Niverville Fire Department, Valatie Rescue Squad and Greenport Rescue Squad.
