MONTICELLO – Police in
Monticello are looking for a woman who held up the Jeff Bank branch at
19 Forestburg Road in the Village of Monticello around 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Police said the suspect was white, about 30 to 35 years old, approximately
five-feet, eight inches tall, with red hair and wearing dark clothes.
She presented a note to the teller demanding money and made off with an
undetermined amount of cash.
The robber then fled on foot running through the rear parking lot to the
area of Wood Avenue and Osborne Street.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Monticello
Police in confidence at 845-794-4422.
The Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the
investigation.
