WHITE PLAINS – An Ossining woman was sentenced to 1 ½ to 4 ½ years in state prison for stealing more than $250,000 from her Pleasantville employer over a four-year period.
Erika Flores, 47, was the accounting clerk for Prospero Equipment Corporation, a national commercial winery, beer and spirits supply company for 10 years and was responsible for accounts payable for the credit cards used by the company.
An investigation by the Mount Pleasant Police Department and Westchester County District Attorney’s Office revealed Flores used the company credit cards between January 2012 and June 2016 without permission and falsified records to conceal her personal charges.  She also had corporate checks drawn to the credit card company so that there would be sufficient funds to cover her personal charged without detection.
It was determined she stole $251,437 by using two company credit cards for personal expenses including food, travel and clothing.
She was arrested on June 30, 2016 and pled guilty to grand larceny on June 28 of this year.
In addition to her prison sentence, Flores was ordered to pay restitution in the amount stolen.
