CHESTNUT RIDGE – Ramapo Town Police investigated an accident in which a bicyclist was struck by a minivan. The accident at about 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, occurred on Chestnut Ridge Road near Alpine Court.
The bicyclist, a 40-year -old Spring Valley man, was struck by a minivan driven by a 38-year-old Chestnut Ridge man. He was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.
The driver remained on the scene. There were no criminal charges or summonses issued.
The accident remains under investigation by the Ramapo Accident Investigation Unit.
