New Windsor man arrested for drugs, weapons, DWI

BEDFORD – State Police arrested a New Windsor man on several charges after he was stopped for speeding on Interstate 684 in Bedford on Sunday, October 22.
When troopers interviewed the driver, Anthony Mathis, 50, they determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol. They also found some 61 grams of oxycodone and four concealed daggers in his possession.
Mathis was charged with the felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon as well as driving while intoxicated.  He was sent to the Westchester County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
