POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency will spend $30,000 to develop a marketing campaign for the City of Poughkeepsie.  The funds come from a fee the IDA earned by facilitating a development project for the city.
Mayor Robert Rolison said the promotional effort will be a plus for the city’s future economic development.
“When people know about the city they want to be part of the city and this campaign and this marketing strategy, which we will be developing in the coming months, is going to go a long way to expand upon that,” Rolison said.
Dutchess IDA Executive Director Sarah Lee said the campaign will piggyback on her agency’s two-year-old marketing campaign.
