MONTICELLO – Interest continues to grow in Sullivan County for business opportunities as the Casino World Catskills casino puts the finishing touches on the facility that is expected to open next March.
Sullivan County Partnership President Marc Baez said last week alone, his office received solid inquiries for new businesses.
“We had four inquiries from people who want to be here, buy properties that were former hotels properties; others that want to bring their manufacturing here, that’s something we are using to diversify the economy, so the interest is here,” Baez said. “This is where the action will be in the next decade. I can feel it; I know it’s coming.”
There are already other concrete developments underway in Sullivan County including a waterpark at the Adelaar site which will include the casino and a nearby luxury spa at the former Kutcher’s resort.
