Taylor: “Open for business”

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Orange County is in the midst of “an economic
tsunami,” said Meghan Taylor, the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development
director.  She spoke Wednesday to the annual Orange County Partnership
Investors’ Breakfast attended by over 400 business people.
She said Orange County and the Mid-Hudson are open for business.
“Since 2011 the Mid-Hudson region has been awarded nearly $476 million to fund 574 projects throughout all of the seven counties here in the region,” Taylor said. “Here in Orange County alone, 91 projects have been awarded nearly $52 million in funding, which has spurred $459 million in private investment and created or retained close to 5,000 jobs.”
Orange County Partnership President Maureen Halahan praised County Executive Steve Neuhaus for bringing in jobs and businesses into the county.
