Traffic stop leads to drug arrests

HIGHLAND – Two people were arrested on drug charges early Wednesday following a traffic stop on Route 44/55 in Highland.
Lloyd Town Police charged the driver, Dwayne White, 32, of Wappingers Falls, with felony and misdemeanor drug possession as well as criminal possession of a weapon. He was found in possession of cocaine and a stun gun. He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. White was involved in a May 2012 home invasion incident in which another suspect was shot to death by a state trooper after the other individual attacked the officer.
Sequan Lynn, 28, of Poughkeepsie, was a passenger in White’s vehicle during this latest incident. He was charged with felony drug possession for having cocaine. He was jailed in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
