Neuhaus, left, and Molinaro
GOSHEN – Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro’s Think Differently program has gained statewide traction and on Wednesday he brought it to Orange County.
Speaking in Goshen before an audience of county employees and family members of people with differing abilities, Molinaro noted the New York State Association of Counties adopted Think Differently as a statewide initiative.
“We have been traveling the state encouraging communities to embrace the principles of Think Differently, which is really an effort to support and respect those with special needs and really build communities that are inclusive recognizing everyone of every ability,” Molinaro said.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus, a fellow Republican, anticipates embracing Molinaro’s Think Differently program in his county.
“We will be definitely adopting it; I have it on the legislative agenda,” Neuhaus said. “This is the roll-out telling people what it is, what it is about. It has been very successful in Dutchess and we are rolling it out today.”
The program has received nothing but kudos everywhere Molinaro has presented it.
