Burke to receive over $2.7 million in federal research funds

Burke Medical Research Institute

WHITE PLAINS – The US Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke has granted $2.775 million to Winifred Masterson Burke Medical Research Institute in White Plains.
The funding will be used for clinical research related to neurological disorders; specifically, the modulation of cortical networks, a new approach to spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
The grant was announced by Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.
