Monticello man wanted on several warrants arrested

MONTICELLO – A 25-year-old Monticello man has been arrested on
a warrant charging him with felony strangulation, misdemeanor unlawful
imprisonment and a violation of harassment.

Hiram Bolden was wanted by Monticello Police on two separate bench warrants
issued by Monticello Village Justice Court. He was wanted by the Sullivan
County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant issued by Town of Thompson
Court.
On Saturday evening officers on patrol spotted Bolden walking on Broadway.
He had been wanted since October 2016 involving a 28-year-old Monticello
woman.

When officers approached Bolden, he ran off, but was pursued and apprehended
a short time later. As a result, he was also charged with resisting arrest
and obstructing government administration.

He was committed to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bail.

Assisting Monticello Police were State Police.
