KINGSTON – A Kingston man is listed in stable condition at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie after he was shot in the stomach while in his apartment at 173 Washington Avenue in the City of Kingston.
The 56-year-old victim told city police that shortly after 10 p.m. on August 7 he was confronted by two men, one of whom had a gun. During a confrontation, the victim was shot once in the stomach before the suspects fled.
They were described as black men wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and
masks.
An investigation is underway with Kingston City Police asking for the public’s assistance. If anyone has knowledge of the shooting, they are asked to call the police at 845-331-1671, use the “Submit-a-Tip” app on the department’s Facebook page or call the tipline at 845-331-4499.
